Do you want to replicate the Throwback underhood jet black color? This is the period correct finish for you. It's not a "matte" black, it's more of a satin finish. Less flat than Matte, but matched the old school underhood black used back in the day. Mixes 4:1, user friendly, sprays consistent and even. Use this product to keep your muscle car looking like a perfectly restored, resto.
Underhood Satin Black is sold as a kit. You will also receive 1 hardener. Choose your temperature!
The perfect product for those small parts and coating your sheet metal underhood!! Correct amount a sheen. Just like the OEM does!
Sprayed really nice and nice med. Sheen. Didn't want high gloss on my inner fenders, hinges and misc. under hood parts. This was just what I was hoping for.
AG Satin Black
Correct sheen, same quality product I've come to expect from Tamco. Thanks for great products & great service!!!
I have used several of the other Hot Rod satin Blacks on the market over the years, And once again Tamcos in my opinion out does all of them. This was not my first go round of using the Tamco in a matte finish.. Tamco has the Quality and end results that I look for in Products.. This Had a nice Eggshell finish I was hoping for. Also has a very fast Flash and Dry time, that is greatly needed when doing a matte finish. So any floating Debris were not embedded in the fresh Paint. The black Coverage with the matte as well as any of Tamcos Blacks Surpasses any I have ever used. Honestly you could Probably Paint a 747 Jumbo jet with only 1 Gallon of Tamcos Black and still have enough left over for one of El Chappos Lear Jets as well. The Final Dry was completely consistent as far as the overall Sheen and the Mix was a Very easy spray. From start to finish on a complete set about 8 parts for a motorcycle took maybe 45 minutes. That was 2 coats 5311 as a sealer and 3 coats single stage Black Matte .
