A renowned painter of his craft, Sergio Cantu just accomplished a project that will make you in awe. A no life, no clear BMW street bike just turned into a killer bike. Sergio shared an in depth process how he achieved this, according to him:
- I sanded the parts down, finished up all of the edges by hand. I also used files, picks, and razor blades to pop air pockets, knock off resin and shave/peel delamination.
- I used an HC895 Intercoat & Clearcoat diluted version of Tamco Intensity Black Out Black to airbrush color on the edges to hide the yellow and fade in some shadows.
- Diluted a tad more and laid 2 super transparent coats to give the carbon fiber some depth.
- Hammered on 3 coats of that sweet Tamco Paint's HC2021 High Solids Clearcoat Kit.
If you want to have such a perfectly done carbon fiber on your project, you can basically follow the steps that Sergio provided.
