1st allow me to start by saying the people at tamco have been so helpful & knowledgeable. This clear is the best. I have used many other clears that are way more expensive & they just can't beat the quality of tamco clear.
I've been spraying 4100 for about 3years not full time I have sprayed about 15 gallons and have nothing but good to say about it, it's a heavy clear and takes getting a custom to but it sands and buffs great
Tamco DTM primers are a very thick primer that works good especially for restoration work or complete re-paints that need old finishes sealed up. Use a 2.5 tip when unreduced, or a 1.7 tip when reduced 10%. Mixing it 4:1:1/2 works good for large areas (more than 2-3 panels at a time) with a 1.7 tip or temps above 80 and use slow reducer. The primer sands best when set up overnight at 70 degrees or warmer. Cooler temps affect how it hardens up and sands the next day. 2 coats unreduced, or three to four coats when reduced is how I like to use it. The longer it cures, the better it sands with all grits of sandpaper. It never gets rock hard or difficult to sand.
First time using Tamco single stage. It sprayed very easy and flowed very flat and was simple to mix. 4/1 with slow activator that is included in the price. Very economical and my 2008 Sierra looks great. Thanks Tamco for another great product.
In 30 years I've never seen a better primer. Direct to metal, no shrinkage, incredible build.
I have been doing body work for 55 years. This is the best primer I ever used. Fills great, sands great and I use it as a sealer by thinning it more and using slower drying thinner. Awesome product
I have been using the high-speed impact clear on lures for quite a few years now, and it can withstand the rigors of fishing ,holding up very well...That statement might not sound like much, but a bad cast can put your lure in trees,up side a rock, log or bridge, etc...Definitely a good litmus test for any clear coat! I've used numerous brands through the 30+ years I've been making lures and Tamco brand stands superior to the rest. Recommend to all!
I am new to car painting, (only sprayed one so far), but I'm very impressed with Tamco and their great customer service. The few products I have ordered so far have been shipped quickly and the packaging is outstanding, you could drop the box off of the roof and not hurt the items inside. Thank you Tamco, I look forward to learning much more and buying all of my painting needs from you!
This stuff is the cats meow. I’ve been spraying it since 2016, and will never change. Sprays smooth, lays smooth, amazing build, and sands easy. No cracking, or shrinkage. There are so many benefits to using this primer, you’re a fool if you don’t try it. Give it a go, and you’ll be hooked!
Over reduce, and use as a sealer. Never any adhesion issues.
