At the 2019 SEMA Show, painter Matt Hutcheson unveiled a bike that turned heads with its flawless finish and striking color combination, brought to life using Tamco Paint products.
The project began with a solid foundation using HP5310 Grey DTM (Direct to Metal) Primer Kit and HP5311 Black DTM (Direct to Metal) Primer Kit, ensuring excellent adhesion and durability. To further strengthen the build, Basecoat Factory Packs (HB9901 Bright White) was applied, providing the ideal surface for the layers to come.
Next, Matt laid down a shimmering Slick Silver Metallic base, which served as the perfect ground for the candy. Over this, he expertly sprayed Tamco’s SoCal Blue Candy Concentrate, achieving a vibrant, deep blue finish with incredible light-catching qualities. For seamless blending and control, he incorporated HC895 Intercoat & Clearcoat, which allowed the layers to flow together smoothly.
Adding to the bike’s character, Matt used Brush FX Pinstriping Wild Bills Blue for crisp outlines and detail work, giving the design a custom flair. To complete the masterpiece, he applied HC4100 Glamour Clearcoat Kit, delivering a mirror-like shine and long-lasting protection.
The result was nothing short of breathtaking, a bike that stood out as a true work of art at SEMA, showcasing both Hutcheson’s talent and the quality of Tamco Paint products.
