Mike Buschman together with Matt Hutcheson brought a legendary piece of racing history back to life by restoring a 1976 Speedway bike once connected to 2-time World Speedway Champion Bruce Penhall. The project honored its heritage while delivering a bold, patriotic finish worthy of its legacy.
The bike was first sealed with HP5312 White DTM (Direct to Metal) Primer Kit to create a solid foundation, then layered with Basecoat Factory Packs (HB9901 Bright White) and Basecoat Factory Packs (HB9902 Bright Red) for contrast. Tamgerine - Candy Concentrate was used to add depth and vibrance, while Liberty Blue brought the U.S. flag elements to life, with Brush FX Pinstriping Outline Black used for clean striping. The entire build was finished and protected with HC9500 Hi-Speed Impact 30 Min Clearcoat Kit, locking a durable, high-gloss show finish that highlights every detail of the restoration.
