Mark Schierholz just dropped an electrifying new color on a friend’s bass a custom, high‑flop pearl finish that practically dances under stage lights. Using his own blend of HC895 Intercoat & Clearcoat European clear, he achieved that coveted shifting effect where colors morph depending on angle and lighting. Tamco’s HC895 Intercoat & Clearcoat (54% solids!) is renowned for burying pearls in deep gloss while offering UV resistance and mirror‑like clarity. Mark began with meticulous prep fine sanding and a black basecoat to amplify contrast then suspended a hefty dose of pearl into the intercoat clear. After even mid‑coat application, he sealed it with multiple layers of HC2104 High Solids Clearcoat, building depth and that flawless glass finish. The result? A bass that shifts from electric blue to deep violet, then pops into magenta all with movement and attitude. This isn’t just paint; it’s wearable performance artistry Mark’s signature finish that steals the spotlight wherever it plays.
