FOREVER SEAL | JEREMY KAISER | CAR PARTS
HC4100 FOR CAR PARTS

Jeremy Kaiser is diving into his next spray project using Forever Seal and Basecoat Hardener in the base coat, and like many side jobbers, he’s thinking ahead about potential delays. If there’s a pause between laying down base and spraying HC4100 Glamour Clearcoat  the next day, Jeremy wonders if he can spray a couple of coats of  HP2010  Top Dawg Adhesion Promoter over the base to protect it, then go straight into clear or even another round of base coat before clearing. The answer is yes—Top Dawg can be a helpful solution to bridge the time gap and keep your work clean. He also raises a smart question about hardener: if it's in your initial base coats, do you need to continue using it throughout? For best adhesion and consistency, it’s recommended to stick with hardener all the way through. Lastly, Jeremy references the TDS noting that Forever Seal can go over bare metal, but asks if it's also okay for small burn-throughs. While Forever Seal is versatile, a thinned 5300 primer may provide better sealing and coverage for those tricky spots. For any painter balancing projects on the side, Jeremy’s approach is a great example of staying informed, flexible, and focused on doing the job right.
