In 2019, Michele Roe was presented with a unique opportunity to participate in a SEMA project car, and the client had a Metallica theme in mind. Michele's meticulous process began with scuffing the panels using a grey Scotch-Brite pad, ensuring a smooth canvas for her artwork. With the client's chosen design in hand, she embarked on the task of transferring it to the vehicle's surface, utilizing a variety of Tamco Intensity colors, even mixing her own bone color to achieve the desired effect.
Before the advent of Tamco candies, Michele had to source her materials elsewhere, using a water-based line. Nevertheless, her artistry shone through as she employed Tamco Paint's Red to create a barbed wire border, bringing the panel to life.
To preserve her intricate work and give it a lasting finish, Michele applied HC7600 2 Hour Air Dry Clearcoat. Once cured, the panel was wet-sanded and polished to perfection. Michele Roe's dedication to her craft and meticulous attention to detail undoubtedly transformed the project car into a Metallica-themed masterpiece, a testament to her exceptional talent and expertise in the world of automotive painting.
