Adam Tillman is a passionate motorcycle enthusiast who recently decided to give his beloved 2022 BMW R nineT a new look. He went all out, choosing a bold and unique color, Tamco Paint’s Yuengling Green, to make it stand out on the road. The result was stunning, and his bike now turns heads wherever he goes.
Adam didn't want to take any shortcuts, so he scuffed the original paint with 600 grit before applying the new color. This ensured that the paint adhered properly and gave a smooth and even finish. He applied 4 coats of the Yuengling Green, which covered the bike nicely. But Adam wasn't satisfied with just a regular paint job. He wanted something that would give his bike that extra pop.
To achieve the desired effect, he decided to use the HC2100 Medium Solids Clearcoat. This clear coat is known for its high-gloss finish and durability, and Adam knew it would give his bike the depth and shine he was after. He sanded the green with 1000 grit, then applied four light coats of clear. The result was amazing; the bike looks wet all the time, and the color shift in the sun and shade is simply breathtaking.
