Luke Embry is no stranger to hands-on builds, and his latest project a beat-up ’84 C10 was a full-on resurrection. With a 2017 5.3L Gen V V8 swap under the hood and upgrades from Holley, Belltech, and Master Power Brakes dialed in, Luke was focused on more than just performance. He knew the finish had to match the function.
To bring the look together, Luke turned to Tamco Paint's HC2104 High Solids Clearcoat. After laying down a striking blue Luke Embry | Light Blue Metallic | Customer Color Basecoat and Chevrolet Silver | WA7470 | 1981-1990 | OEM Basecoat two-tone base, HC2104 delivered exactly what the build needed: a smooth flow, a deep gloss, and the kind of durability that stands up to real street miles.
Luke also understood the importance of pairing the right products throughout the process. From choosing a clear that could showcase the two-tone detail to making sure the prep work held up long-term, every step was intentional.
This truck isn’t just a throwback, it's a statement. And for any builder working from the ground up, Luke’s approach is a reminder that the right products, paired with experience and grit, can turn any garage project into a show-stopper.
