CanDe Customs embarked on an impressive automotive transformation by applying their expert craftsmanship and using top-quality materials from Tamco Paint and 3M. They started by coating the vehicle with Tamco Paint's HP662 Black DTA Epoxy, ensuring a durable and corrosion-resistant foundation. To seal seams and provide additional protection, 3M seam sealer was meticulously applied. For added resilience and a rugged aesthetic, Raptor Liner was used, enhancing both the appearance and durability of the vehicle's exterior. To prepare the surface for its final finish, CanDe Customs utilized HP5310 Grey DTM Primer, ensuring a smooth and even canvas for the forthcoming layers of paint. This ambitious project involving a 72 Mercury Montego, which saw the top half of a fastback expertly swapped onto a clean donor bottom/pan, exemplifies their commitment to automotive excellence and restoration, breathing new life into a classic vehicle while preserving its unique character.
