Looks great!

The product is kinda pricey, but apparently worth it. I did however have a problem with cracking of the paint very soon after application, and only in certain sections of the hood I was painting. I’m doing this in my garage and the temp was about 67-70 degrees F, and humidity was around 37%. Outside, the temps were about 30-35F, and humidity above 70%. I thought I was being smart and placed a heater behind the hood to get it a little warm, hoping that would help it flash off more quickly and there would be LESS chances for problems. The paint dried to tack free within 5-10 minutes. Do I need a slower reducer? This was great for reducing exposure to dust and bugs, but looks like not so great for preventing cracking. The rest of the application was not just good, it was exceptional. Only one run and it was my fault, and I was able to “blow it down” a bit with a misting of spot blender and then compressed air regulated down to about 50psi. Yes it was good and dry sir. The clear went on great, and both the color and the clear showed the least amount of orange peel I have EVER been able to apply. Such a shame I have to scuff it and and start over. Where it looked good, it looked maybe better than OEM and might not even need post paint cut and buff. Big thanks.

Estimate shipping

Tamco Paint's shipping fees are "real time rates" meaning, we charge you what it costs to ship depending on what you ordered and where it is shipping. That said, we offer free shipping to the lower 48 states in the USA if your order is $500+!

Please keep in mind, we DO NOT guarantee delivery transit times. The shipping companies include "Estimated Delivery Times" which are estimates and should be treated as such. Also Tamco Paint will NOT refund for late deliveries, delayed transit, or any other wait due to the shipping and handling involved.

If you forgot an item, we will not ship the rest for free. Send us a message on our on-site Chat by clicking the chat bubble in the bottom right to add onto your order. We usually can help make that happen if your order hasn't been packaged up yet.

Under normal circumstances, ship the next day (M-F , some holidays change this as well). If you order early AM or early afternoon, we will most likely be able to get your order out that day! CALL for order changes!! (please note we do not ship the next day for mixed paint.)

We use Fedex & UPS and USPS (for non-hazardous products). Orders that reach "Free shipping" will be chosen by Tamco Paint.
