A motorcycle gas tank may be small in size, but in the hands of Kevin Kegler, it becomes a striking canvas. For this custom piece, Kevin used Tamco Paint’s Intensity Colors to create a bold yet balanced design that demands attention.
He began with HP2010 Top Dawg Adhesion Promoter to ensure perfect paint adhesion. Then, working from light to dark, he layered Intensity Chalk White for a vibrant, energetic base, contrasted with the deep, commanding Black Out Black. Chalk White was added strategically as an accent, softening transitions and tying the design together with a harmonious finish. Using the Intensity Airbrushing Paint Variety Pack and mixing with HR Reducers, Kevin achieved smooth gradients, crisp edges, and a flawless surface.
To protect the finish and enhance the depth of color, he sealed the tank with HC9500 Hi-Speed Impact 30 Min Clearcoat Kit, delivering a high-gloss, impact-resistant coat built to withstand the road.
The result is a perfect blend of artistry and durability, a tank that not only complements the bike but stands as a piece of custom art in its own right.
