The craftsmanship of Tommy Nelson brought the 1964 Volkswagen Bug back to life just by repainting it and using the high quality products from Tamco Paint. The base color, which was custom made and supplied by the owner, was ready to take on the challenge and end up with a unique look.
To prepare, Tommy used the HR397 Wax & Grease Remover, the HR397W Waterbourne Wax & Grease Remover, and the HR398 Final Wipe to make the surface as clean and smooth as possible. Then came the DTM (Direct to Metal) Primer Kit and Forever Seal for the custom color to have a stronger foundation. Once done applying the base, he used the HH57 Basecoat Hardener and HC895 Intercoat & Clearcoat to attain a smooth, even finish.
Finally, to give the Volkswagen Bug a traffic stopping show, the HC4100 Glamour Clearcoat Kit was used to make it shimmer and give long-term protection. The clearcoat used made the custom color pop whenever it was under the sun in any angle and made it more durable.
