A 9-year-old kid dragster? Isn't it amazing and cool?
She is number 3/16— symbolizes her birthday. Started at a very young age, Poppy, a 9-year-old kid dragster, paved her way as she rocked her 2003 Model Mike Bos Chassis Craft in the color Lipstick under Tamco Paint’s product lineup. It was bought and painted for her by her father, James Rowlett. The interesting part here is that this car was owned by Poppy’s father’s little sister in the year 2003— even the car knew the sudden feeling of kinship!
Since James wanted a new look for Poppy’s new toy, he gave it a total makeover. Using Tamco Paint’s Lipstick, finish laid over a clean white base gives the dragster a powerful, feminine presence. Poppy’s journey as a Jr. Dragster is unbelievable! Imagine she just practiced for a few months, but she managed to go several rounds. James, nothing but an extremely proud father, said that Poppy is not scared to stomp the pedal and beat up on the boys in a track race. Having said that, Poppy is part of the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA).
James Rowlett would like to brag at the fact that Poppy is a girly girl through and through, but she is not scared to stomp the pedal and beat up on the boys. She knows exactly what to do and listens well. You have to be good and understand the “tree” (the starting lights) and also its bracket racing, so you have to get to the finish line first, but not go faster than your posted time. She also gained a major sponsor, White House Performance Parts.
