If you're a fan of classic cars, you may have heard of Shaffer Restorations, a renowned restoration shop known for their exceptional work on vintage automobiles. Recently, Jeff Shaffer and his team took on a new project: a 1965 Fastback Mustang in Ford Code 5/1731 Twilight Turquoise.
Shaffer chose Tamco Paint’s Ford Code 5/1731 Twilight Turquoise, a beautiful shade of blue-green that was popular in the mid-1960s. The color perfectly complements the Mustang's lines, giving it a timeless yet modern look.
To achieve a flawless finish, Shaffer used a combination of products from Tamco Paint. He started with HP5310 DTM Primer, which provides excellent adhesion and corrosion resistance. He then applied the OEM color using a high-quality spray gun and reducer, ensuring an even and consistent coat. Finally, he applied HC2104 High Solids Clearcoat, which provides a glossy and durable finish.
