Recently, Austin transformed his drift car from plain white into a vivid, multi-layered work of art using Tamco Paint’s top-quality products.
The process began with meticulous surface preparation. Austin first cleaned the car with HR397W Waterbourne Wax & Grease Remover to eliminate contaminants, followed by HR398 Final Wipe for a spotless finish.
For the foundation, he applied HP5310 Grey DTM (Direct to Metal) Primer Kit, ensuring superior adhesion and durability. The base color layers began with Lipstick and Slick Silver Metallic, creating a vibrant, reflective backdrop for the candy colors to follow.
Austin then layered multiple candy colors for depth and richness, using Tamco’s CC3000 Candy Carrier Kit mixed with SoCal Blue, Monaco, Burplicious, and Black Metal, blending them seamlessly for maximum visual impact.
To lock in each layer and deliver a glass-like finish, Austin used HC2104 High Solids Clearcoat, along with HR Reducers for perfect spray consistency. The process was completed using Tamco Tamco T-Cups - Spray gun cup liner system for efficiency and precision throughout the job.
The result was nothing short of jaw-dropping, a vibrant, track-ready masterpiece that shines whether you’re up close or watching it drift by at full speed.
