When it comes to custom builds, some rides just stop you in your tracks, and Ricky Ermel’s 2008 Ford F-150 is one of them. Painted by the talented Lay Wall, this truck is a rolling masterpiece that merges creativity, craftsmanship, and killer paintwork.
The heart of this transformation is Tamco Paint’s My Boy Blue, laid down in four rich coats for unbeatable depth and vibrancy. To push it even further, Lay Wall added Interstellar Purple Pearl from the Stellar Series, along with purple/blue flake, creating a finish that shifts and glows under the light. The result is a paint job that’s bold, elegant, and impossible to ignore.
The project started with a rock-solid foundation of HP5310 Grey DTM (Direct to Metal) Primer Kit. Using HR Reducers ensured perfect flow and a smooth finish, while the final layer of HC2104 High Solids Clearcoat locked everything in with a show-stopping gloss and long-lasting protection.
This build isn’t just about paint, it’s a statement. With its blend of artistry, precision, and vision, Ermel’s truck proves that true individuality shines through the details.
