This 1964 Chevrolet Chevy II Nova was given a grand Tamco Ground Up makeover by the Elijah Vaudt Custom Painting team. They used not one OEM color, but two! The GM Nantucket Blue Poly and the GM Argent Silver Metallic, both by Tamco Paint. Mixing these two together really showed the brilliance of how a classic vehicle can look both vintage and modern at the same time.
To get this rockin’ look, the team first ensured a clean surface, one free from contaminants and little dust particles. So they used the HR397 Wax & Grease Remover and the HR398 Final Wipe. Next, to keep the foundation strong and sturdy as well as create maximum adhesion, the following layer was applied with the HP661 Grey DTA (Direct to Anything) Epoxy Kit and HP2010 Top Dawg Adhesion Promoter.
The next layers were the main events. First was the GM Nantucket Blue Poly, a very vibrant blue that sticks out like a thumb. Due to its elegant and sophisticated color, it’s hard not to go admire it from any angle. After that was the GM Argent Metallic, a silver that is modest and bright, it shines wherever the vehicle goes!
Finally, the HC2104 High Solids Clearcoat Kit was added. This was to make sure that all the coats would stay intact and also add some long-lasting durability. It also added some fancy, like the extra gloss it gave the vehicle.
It’s surreal how the colors really mesh together. The artistry, the creativeness of the team at Elijah Vaudt Custom Painting is splendid. Meanwhile, the Tamco Paint premium quality products will always do a job well done on any canvas.
