Reece Monroe’s project proves that even rugged builds can have a flawless, show-quality finish. Using Tamco Paint’s Toyota Quicksand, Reece gave this vehicle a bold, off-road-ready look while maintaining a sleek, professional finish. The addition of Tamco’s toner in the Raptor liner for the interior floors added unique depth and texture, making this build truly one-of-a-kind.
The process began with HR397W Waterbourne Wax & Grease Remover and HR398 Final Wipe to properly clean and prep the surface for paint. A strong foundation was then built using HP663 White Epoxy DTA (Direct to Anything) Kit followed by HP5310 Grey DTM (Direct to Metal) Primer Kit, ensuring superior adhesion and corrosion resistance. Once prepped, Toyota Quicksand | 4V6 | 2011-2023 | OEM Basecoat was expertly applied to achieve a clean, uniform color. HR Reducers were used throughout the process for smooth, consistent application. To lock in the color and deliver long-lasting shine and protection, HC4100 Glamour Clearcoat Kit was sprayed as the final layer.
