A 1979 Volkswagen Type 2 can already be considered…old. But, Reece Monroe was able to revive it with just a simple project. Despite the age, he managed to prove that the vehicle can be ageless. By using Tamco Paint’s Toyota Quicksand, the Volkswagen is now ready to hit the road again but this time, with an even sleeker and stylish look.
The HR397W Waterbourne Wax & Grease Remover and the HR398 Final Wipe were used to prepare and clean the surface properly. For a stronger foundation, Reece used the HP663 White Epoxy DTA (Direct to Anything) Kit, which was then followed by HP5310 Grey DTM (Direct to Metal) Primer Kit for better adhesion and to be able withstand decay. When ready, the Toyota Quicksand was skillfully applied, achieving a clean and uniform color. To keep everything secure and give a long-lasting shimmer, Reece used the HC4100 Glamour Clearcoat Kit as the finale.
And now, Reece can have many more adventures while people whip their heads back to see what a cool car he’s driving.
