This head-turning Corvette is anything but subtle, thanks to the expert touch of Benjamin Jon Hagen and the electrifying glow of Tamco Paint’s Tamgerine Pearl. From its aggressive stance to its flawless finish, this build showcases how the right products, applied with precision, can take any ride to the next level.
To kick off the project, HP5312 White DTM (Direct to Metal) Primer Kit was used to create a strong, uniform base. Applied directly to metal, this primer provides excellent adhesion and coverage, ensuring the vibrant topcoat pops with maximum clarity.
Next came the Tamgerine Pearl, a warm and high-energy custom pearl color that instantly gave the Corvette its signature look. Mixed with HR Reducers for optimal spray flow and consistency, the basecoat laid down smooth and even.
To ensure proper curing of the primer and basecoat, 76 Series Hardener and HH3100 Primer Hardener were used, adding durability and helping the layers chemically bond for long-term performance.
Finally, to seal the deal and amplify the gloss, Benjamin used HC4105 Extra Slow Glamour Clearcoat Kit. This clearcoat is ideal for high-temperature conditions or larger projects, allowing more open time for a flawless, glass-like finish that enhances the depth of the pearl.
The result? A sleek, aggressive Corvette that demands attention from every angle.
