2K European HS Clearcoat Tamco® TMCCH Very High Solids Clear Coat is made in our new European plant using European High Quality water clear resins with maximum UV.s This product is packaged in 5 Liter Cans and sold as a Kit with the Hardener (2.5 Liter Can). This product is NOT made to duplicate the Factory Finish of European automobiles such as Mercedes®, BMW®, Audi®, VW® and others - This is a Glamour Clear made for the highest quality overall paint jobs where little buffing is planned. Very little to NO orange peel. This is not a Euro knock off clear, it is equal to the top clear coats made by the most exclusive European paint companies. Very similar in structure to HC2104, but made from a different resin made in Germany. Uses proprietary High Solids Low Viscosity technology - easier to spray than most very high solids clear coats.

This European clear coat is not recommended or can be used above 95 degrees. It will haze up.

Perfectly clear

I got around to shooting some bicycle frames last week (i make bicycles), using the usual stuff - PPG DP primers with PPG DCC base coats. I usually use PPG 2020 clear, but this time used the Tamco Euro clear. I laid down a light first coat with my SATA Minijet, it was pretty orange-peel-ey, let it sit and set for 10 minutes or so, then thinned what was in the cup a little and shot a second coat. It just flowed, smooth as glass! I won't say it is better than the 2020, but it is just as good and I got a lifetime supply of the Tamco clear and catalyst, plus some thinner, for less than the cost of a quart of 2020 - and that is with my pro painter discount.

This is some GOOD product.

Good clear/ bad pour

The cans these come in spill all over the place when trying to get in a large mix cup. 1/4 of the product will be lost at the end. Tried to talk to them and they said to pour it into a smaller cup? Love tamco clears but this is a waste of money and rags to clean it up.

Tamco Paint's shipping fees are "real time rates" meaning, we charge you what it costs to ship depending on what you ordered and where it is shipping. That said, we offer free shipping to the lower 48 states in the USA if your order is $500+!

Please keep in mind, we DO NOT guarantee delivery transit times. The shipping companies include "Estimated Delivery Times" which are estimates and should be treated as such.
