I was looking for a "perfect" match paint for a 1984 Ferrari QV. The color code is Rosso Corsa FER 300/12. The original paint was single stage. I decided now, for various reasons, go to a 2 stage process.
I tried paint products from various distributors.
Some used a scanner to define the color. However when testing the paints they were all a little different than the original color.
I then tried the Tamco paint base coat equivalent. After applying the base then the clear coat the match was "exactly" like the original paint!
I should have tried Tamco first!
